Risk Manager in Private Equity and Venture Capital
Your day to day:
- Oversee the risk management and reporting of various private equity and venture capital portfolios, including the preparation of surveillance reports and risk parameters.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to enhance risk reporting capabilities, data management, and governance within the company.
- Develop, implement, and drive automation of the securitization and RSM data processes, ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct detailed risk analysis and contribute to the identification, assessment, and control of both financial and non-financial risks in line with company objectives.
- Support in the management of credit risks, loss given default, and guarantee calls related to private equity and venture capital investments.
- Work with large datasets to clean, test, and prepare data for reporting and analysis.
- Support the execution of high-impact projects, contributing to the timely and efficient completion of deliverables.
Your profile:
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience working on data projects, preferably with a focus on risk management in private equity or venture capital environments.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of risk terminology and concepts (e.g., Probability of Default, Loss Given Default, Guarantee calls).
- Proficiency with risk management tools and platforms, particularly related to securitization and guarantees.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and manage complex data workflows.
- Experience in managing and presenting risk reports and risk surveillance for large portfolios.
- Technical Competencies:
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand simple VBA code (not necessarily write new code).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Communication: Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clearly and concisely for risk reports and management communications.
- Additional: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
