Subject Matter Expert – Custody

Your Day to Day:

  • Manage and coordinate client onboarding and fund-related implementation projects within Custody & Clearing Services, including new client launches, fund mergers, liquidations, migrations and other operational events
  • Conduct detailed gap analyses of client requirements to design operational models aligned with the internal target operating framework, proposing practical solutions where deviations occur
  • Ensure the proper implementation of FX processes, including the setup of liquid and restricted currencies, and oversee the preparation and negotiation of related operational documentation
  • Draft, review and coordinate the signature of key operational agreements, ensuring all custody activities (FX, corporate actions, settlements) are fully defined and validated
  • Collaborate closely with internal Custody teams to guarantee that operational flows and controls are established and functioning effectively before transitioning to business-as-usual mode
  • Lead and coordinate asset and cash migrations related to client events, defining responsibilities between stakeholders and ensuring seamless execution
  • Work cross-functionally with other Business Implementation teams (Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Fund Dealing, Depositary and Market Services) to ensure consistent project delivery and alignment across departments
  • Maintain and update the project pipeline, providing regular progress reports and anticipating potential capacity or timings issus
  • Coordinate the setup and testing of client connectivity channels (e.g. SWIFT) to ensure operational readiness from day one
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and post-implementation reviews to enhance the efficiency and quality of onboarding and operational transitions

Your Profile:

  • Strong understanding of global custody operations, asset servicing and related financial processes
  • Proven experience in project management or business implementation within a custody, fund administration or financial services environment
  • Familiarity with FX operations, corporate actions and the operational aspects of fund migrations
  • Excellent communication, coordination and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying risks and proposing improvements
  • Strong client focus and ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and French required; knowledge of any other European language considered an advantage
  • Autonomous, organized and adaptable, with a structured approach to project delivery in a dynamic environment
