Portfolio Data Analyst – Private Equity

Your day to day

• Collect, review and validate quarterly and annual data received from private equity and venture capital funds
• Perform NAV checks and ensure consistency with industry reporting standards (e.g. Invest Europe, IPEV)
• Reconcile and verify financial and portfolio data received from external fund managers
• Support the annual audited financial statements review process
• Follow up with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve data gaps or inconsistencies
• Coordinate with external service providers involved in data collection and input processes
• Assist with the structuring of new data flows linked to investment transactions and reporting requirements
• Contribute to the preparation of reports used for portfolio monitoring, risk management and audits
• Support audit requests by providing relevant documentation and data explanations
• Ensure strong data quality controls and help mitigate operational and compliance risks
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation or digitalisation initiatives
• Use reporting and data tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or similar) to support operational reporting

Your profile

• University degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, operations or business intelligence
• Exposure to private equity, venture capital, asset management or a similar financial environment
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify inconsistencies
• Good understanding of private equity reporting standards and valuation principles (e.g. Invest Europe, IPEV, IFRS, local GAAP)
• Experience working with financial or portfolio data, including NAV or fund reporting
• Comfortable interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with data visualisation or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
• Excellent written and spoken English
