Technical Project Manager (m/f)
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee a business application migration project for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing complex technical projects, coordinating multiple teams, and ensuring smooth data and server migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Coordination: Federate and lead the various teams responsible for different aspects of the migration process. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
- Database Migration: Oversee the migration of databases, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Server Transfer: Manage the transfer of servers from the current data center to the new site, coordinating with IT teams to ensure smooth transitions.
- Data Transfer: Supervise the transfer of all relevant data, ensuring its security and integrity throughout the process.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and detailed reports to the management team on the project’s progress, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and documentation. Ensure all project milestones are met on schedule.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to the migration process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all aspects of the migration meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, particularly in data center migrations or similar technical projects.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of database management, server infrastructure, and data transfer protocols.
- Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and follow detailed project plans.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse teams to achieve project goals.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to report complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing projects involving cloud migrations or hybrid data center environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data security and privacy.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and French are required
