Senior Financial Controller – Alternative Investments (Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt,…)
Your Day to Day
- Fund Administration Oversight:
- Review of financial statements, including those of Luxembourg-based SPVs, ensuring compliance with Lux GAAP.
- Analysis of the consolidated financial reports for funds under Lux GAAP or IFRS, including net asset value, management fees, and performance fees.
- Supervision of periodic tax filings and coordination of the tax-related matters for funds and SPVs.
- Coordination of the preparation of key administrative documents, such as board minutes and shareholder registers, in collaboration with external providers.
- Active participation in board meetings of SPVs, presenting necessary financial information.
- Assisting with the preparation and distribution of quarterly investor reports.
- Managing ad-hoc investor requests and handling their expectations.
- Participation in audit meetings and facilitating communication with auditors.
- Leading or contributing to special projects related to fund administration or regulatory updates.
- Transaction Services Oversight:
- Coordinating with external parties (lawyers, auditors, deal teams) on transaction structuring and acquisition processes.
- Reviewing contractual documentation related to fund/SPV transactions and acquisitions.
- Monitoring financial flows within the funds, ensuring compliance with the defined tax structures.
- Reviewing payments and execution of financial instructions in line with the funds’ objectives.
- Implementing and following up on tax and legal recommendations, coordinating with internal and external teams.
Your Profile
- Required Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in alternative investments (Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt…), with a background in audit, fund management, or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and tax requirements applicable to Luxembourg-based funds.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to address complex issues independently.
- Solid project management skills and the ability to manage priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in English, when interacting with international stakeholders. Knowledge of French or Italian is a plus.
