Senior Compliance Officer – Alternative Asset Management

Your Day to Day

As a Compliance Officer within an international asset management firm, your mission will be to support the ongoing development and implementation of compliance policies and controls, with a focus on private credit and AIFM-regulated activities. Working in close collaboration with senior compliance staff and operational teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development, review, and maintenance of internal compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Updating and executing the compliance monitoring plan, assessing control effectiveness, and recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Supporting regulatory registration and notifications linked to AIFs (e.g., changes in prospectus, marketing notifications, major holdings).
  • Assisting in communication and reporting with local regulatory authorities and auditors.
  • Providing regulatory insight and advice to the business, participating in internal projects and regulatory updates.
  • Monitoring and analysing regulatory developments, helping operational teams implement required changes.
  • Performing due diligence and ongoing reviews of outsourced compliance/AML service providers.
  • Assisting in delivering compliance training (induction, annual refreshers, and ad hoc sessions).
  • Offering ad-hoc support to the AML/Compliance team as needed.
  • Promoting awareness of ESG considerations in line with compliance responsibilities and company values.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you should bring:

Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory function, preferably within an AIFM or advisory environment.
  • Solid understanding of Luxembourg regulatory requirements, ideally with a background in private credit or alternative investment funds.
  • Familiarity with AML laws and best practices is a strong asset.
  • Fluency in English is essential; other languages are a plus.
