Legal Counsel
Missions:
As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting in-depth research and providing comprehensive legal advice to various departments (wealth management, back office, compliance) as well as to senior management.
- Drafting, analyzing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, including client contracts, subcontracting agreements, and intra-group contracts.
- Handling matters related to personal data protection, managing processing records, and monitoring relevant legislative developments.
- Collaborating closely with the DPO, which will allow you to immerse yourself in compliance and data protection issues, and actively contribute to strategic projects with visibility at the executive level.
- Ensuring continuous legal monitoring and informing departments and management about legislative and regulatory changes while supporting their implementation.
- Managing litigation cases in coordination with lawyers.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with the legal team of other group entities.
Profile:
- Holder of a Master’s degree in Law, with additional training in Luxembourg Law (CCDL) being an asset.
- At least 5 years of experience within a legal team. Experience as a DPO is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial law, commercial law, corporate law, or civil law, inheritance law, and/or data protection (privacy/GDPR).
- Full proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- Curious, rigorous, with strong analytical and synthesis skills, as well as excellent writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently while possessing strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
