1) Your Day-to-Day:
- Development & Programming:
- Write and optimize PLSQL queries or Java code to support internal and external processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement technical solutions.
- Perform system integrations, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve code quality.
- Financial Application Support:
- Work closely with Fund Accounting (FA) or Transfer Agency (TA) teams to develop solutions tailored to the financial industry.
- Participate in database management, ensuring data integrity and efficiency for fund administration processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, and regulatory standards within the financial industry.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Conduct testing and debugging of applications to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Provide regular updates and documentation on development processes and progress.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a liaison between development teams and business users, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Provide support to junior developers, assisting in problem-solving and development tasks.
2) Profile:
- Experience:
- Proven experience in PLSQL development or Java programming, preferably with a background in Fund Accounting (FA) or Transfer Agency (TA).
- Strong experience in writing efficient queries, developing business solutions, and working with financial applications.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PLSQL, Java, and database management (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Knowledge of financial systems or platforms related to FA or TA is a significant advantage.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a financial services environment.
- Communication:
- Ability to work in a team, with excellent communication skills for liaising between technical and business teams.
- Desirable:
- Familiarity with the latest financial technologies and regulations.
