Data Base Administrator

Your Day to Day

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Monitoring system performance and identifying issues proactively
• Ensuring data integrity, availability, and backup/recovery procedures
• Implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive information
• Optimizing queries and database structures to improve efficiency
• Collaborating with developers and IT teams to support data-related needs
• Managing user access and roles
• Participating in database migrations, upgrades, and patches

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
• Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with one or more major database systems
• Familiarity with database design, performance tuning, and backup strategies
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of data security best practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Good communication skills in English; French or another language is a plus
• Certifications such as Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL are a plus
