Corporate Accountant Officer

Missions

  • Be responsible for general ledger bookings, including bookings of accruals, provisions, depreciation, and amortization of fixed assets, bookings of staff expenses and tax provisions at each closing date
  • Prepare daily cash postings and reporting
  • Be responsible for booking supplier invoices and preparing payment instructions, while verifying internal control procedures are respected
  • Assist with monthly and yearly VAT declarations and ensure compliance
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the local supervisor, the “Commission de Surveillance of the financial sector” and follow up on any queries regarding these reports
  • Participate in IFRS monthly and periodic group reporting
  • Prepare the financial statements of the company and in-house companies under Luxembourg GAAP and will be a direct contact person for external auditors for accounting matters
  • Actively participate in the establishment/maintenance of written working instructions/procedures of any process related to the accounting department and operations
  • Actively participate in ad hoc projects and the implementation of such and prepare ad hoc analysis as needed by management

Profile

  • Have a university degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting (Bac+4) or relevant professional experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Accounting
  • Have broad knowledge in Luxembourg accounting principles and good knowledge in IFRS principles
  • Have sound knowledge in financial management (accounting, reporting, and controlling)
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Any additional language is an advantage.
