Consulting for periodic KYC Review
Your day-to-day
- Perform periodic KYC reviews to ensure that client information is up-to-date and complies with internal policies and applicable AML/CFT standards.
- Analyse existing KYC files to identify missing, outdated, or inaccurate documentation based on internal checklists and regulatory requirements.
- Collect documentation from reliable public sources, specialised databases, or directly from counterparties when necessary.
- Accurately update internal systems with structured KYC data, including identification of key persons, beneficial owners, and shareholder structures.
- Investigate alerts related to PEPs, sanctions, or adverse media and document the resolution process accordingly.
- Contribute to the risk reassessment process (ML/TF risk) in case of red flags such as complex structures or sensitive persons, using internal scoring tools.
- Collaborate closely with compliance teams and front-office stakeholders to clarify or escalate issues where appropriate.
- Ensure quality and consistency through internal 4-eye review procedures and contribute to timely and accurate reporting.
- Participate in the onboarding and transition to new internal systems (e.g., PEGA-based platforms) and follow related training provided.
- Maintain structured documentation and assist in maintaining a coherent audit trail across all actions taken during the review process.
Your profile
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in KYC/AML or financial services compliance.
- Solid understanding of AML/CFT regulatory frameworks, particularly in relation to investment funds, financial institutions, and private investors.
- Comfortable with handling documentation related to equity and debt instruments, especially within the EU regulatory environment.
- Experience working on periodic reviews is a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of structured information.
- Proficient in data management tools and documentation handling; experience with screening tools (e.g. LSEG/WorldCheck) is a plus.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting with both internal and external stakeholders in a professional context.
- Strong sense of accountability, able to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Prior experience or exposure to alternative investment structures (SICAV, SICAR, RAIF, etc.) is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of tax due diligence or non-standard counterparties (e.g. microfinance institutions, leasing companies, or agencies outside AML scope) is a plus.
