Associate Director (m/f)
Reports to Client Development Director
As an associate director in client development, you will be responsible for a portfolio of 6-8 of our Group strategic accounts. You will be working alongside our cross-jurisdictional local delivery teams but supporting global accounts that are based in London and the US. You will be managing and leading the account strategy, working in conjunction with the Client Relationship Lead (CRL) alongside our Client Development Group. This group includes some of the largest global names in alternative investments and will see you working across various asset classes including private equity, real assets, and private debt.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure we deliver the full client experience across this portfolio
- Working closely with the Client Relationship Leads, identify opportunities for growth, on-sell, cross-sell and value add propositions
- Expanding relationships and driving new opportunities across an existing client base. Leading impactful client conversations to enhance our reputation and increase our footprint across key clients
- Partner with the Client Development Group – professionalism and improve the company’s approach to strategic client management
- Partner with Client Development Group to implement client development strategies, focus on achieving clients’ goals, create and execute customer relationship reviews
- Help to refine our value proposition for key accounts and ensure that we are linking our capability back to their strategic drivers
- Lead and coach winning proposals and presentations in conjunction with business development team
- Attend and speak at relevant industry events and build local relationships with intermediaries such as law firms and auditors
- Preparation of forecasts and KPI reporting for the CCO and Client Development Group
- Evolve our approach to strategic account management and planning. This will include using our BD playbook, engagement planning, leading client-centric workshops, delivering key value messages through thought leadership material and leading commercial discussions
- Work closely with marketing, business development and client experience to align plans and deliver the client’s experience
- Lead Client Relationship Review meetings and be the voice of the client at all times
Skills, knowledge, and expertise:
- Proven experience in global account management
- Professional services / investment management experience preferred
- Strong experience navigating complex accounts (multi-departments, up to C-level)
- A consistent record of over-achievement
- Experience of working in a fast-paced high growth environment
- You will take a bright, consultative, Trusted Advisor approach with a focus on building strong client relationships
